About 64% of Brazilian enrolled in the Positive Credit left the debtors list

A survey conducted by Serasa Experian - record company debt of people and Brazilian companies - shows that a significant number of consumers who have opened the Positive Credit left the defaulters list.

The research reveals that, of 3.087 million consumers registered in the Register Plus, 63.9% came from the list of debtors, even with some restriction on credit in the last two years.

The study found also that most registered (61.8%) receive up to two minimum wages. Among those who opted for the Positive Credit, 15.0% are between 31 and 35 years, followed by those between 26 and 30 years (14.5%) and the group between 36-40 years (12.9%).

The numbers are the Positive Register database, which has existed since 2013, and allows shops, for example, chequem accounts for deciding whether or not to release any credit customer. In the case of the prior system only records were considered negative.

Degree of commitment

According to Serasa Experian, the information enable better credit management, because it shows the degree of commitment of people with loans across the market.

"The Register Plus helps to reduce the asymmetry of information and stimulate a fairer pricing system, which takes into account the risk profile of each borrower," says the director of SerasaConsumidor, Fernanda Monnerat.

The system alerts if the company opening attempt with the document number, if the holder is about to be negated or when consumers leave the default register.
