On Friday (29), the National Supply Company (Conab) auctioned all 67,000 bags of coffee offered by the company, which corresponds to 4 tons of the product, and generated revenue of R $ 29 million.
The product is stored in Minas Gerais (40,000 bags), São Paulo (15 million bags) and Paraná (12 million bags).These public stocks are the result of stock option transactions made in the 2009/2010 harvest. Conab has in stock 1.37 million bags.
According to the Department of Agricultural Policy (SPA) Map in all lots of the auction was average premium of 12% compared to the opening price. It evaluates the SPA, shows the interest of industrial by public stocks. The lowest selling price was R $ 441.86 per bag, in São Paulo, and the highest, R $ 455.19 per bag, in Minas Gerais.
"The product offering meets the need to complement the coffee supply for industrial now that market prices are pressured by the drop in the harvest of some types of coffee," said the Secretary of Agricultural Policy, Neri Geller.
The next auction will be August 11, offering distributed in Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Paraná.
