"The report is the first step in the formulation of the Bank's new engagement strategy in Brazil and is the main achievements by the country in recent years and the challenges to ensure the sustainability of these advances. I take this opportunity to thank the contribution of that body during the phase of consultations with a view to preparing the report, "Raiser said.
The report provides a contribution to the debate on the future development of Brazil, refraining from specific recommendations for economic policy and focusing on highlighting the ways in which the difficulties and the country's development opportunities are closely linked.
The causal chains identified by the analysis lead to a set of broad priorities that can serve as a backdrop for the discussion of plans and policies to concrete reforms, as well as its viability in a fluid political environment and complex.
