Understand

Published since July 2016, the short-term Podium is a ranking of the three Institutions with forecasts for each fiscal variable in the last six months, the percentage of error of each.

The planning is based on equations that specify penalties for each institution, considering the deviation of its projections for the occurrence value and regularity of participation. That is, the more regular and more accurate the institution, the less penalty and, consequently, the better your position in the ranking.

Moreover, it is reported the average percentage error of the other institutions. The percentage indicates how much the forecast of the institution deviated from the amount realized on average during this period, taking into account the magnitude of the variable. For example, if the error percentage is 10% for an institution that participated in every month, the average size of the error was a tenth of the amount realized.
