Oil and natural gas fields operated by Petrobras produced 1.53 million barrels of oil equivalent
The Brazilian production in the oil and natural gas fields of the pre-salt operated by Petrobras reached, in February of this year, 1.53 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed). The value represents an increase of 41% in relation to the production of February 2016.
According to Petrobras, in comparison to January of this year, this volume registered a 3% reduction due to the scheduled shutdown of the FPSO Cidade de Paraty in the Lula Nordeste field and at the end of the SPA testing phase in the field of Búzios.

In February, the company's total oil and natural gas production was 2.82 million boed, with 2.703 million boed produced in Brazil and 113 thousand boed abroad.
"The average production of oil in the country was 2.20 million barrels per day (bpd), volume 1% lower than in January. This result is mainly due to the scheduled shutdown of the FPSO Cidade de Paraty, located in the Lula Nordeste field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt and at the end of the Early Production System (SPA) testing phase, which operated in the Field of Búzios, under the regime of the Onerous Assignment, "the company explained by note.
Overseas, in February, oil production was 63.5 thousand bpd, volume 8% lower than the previous month. Natural gas production reached 8.4 million m³ / d, 3% below the volume produced in January 2017.
This performance was mainly due to the operational shutdown of the Lucius and Hadrian South fields in the USA, due to the production flow limitation, which is carried out through third party facilities.
