Deadline for PIS / Pasep withdrawal at bank branches ends on December 29

Benefit

About 900 thousand workers have not yet served

The deadline for the  withdrawal of salary allowance of PIS / PASEP base year 2014 in bank branches ends next Thursday (29). In total,  900,000 workers are entitled to the benefit has not removed the portion, which is equivalent to a minimum wage.

For those who have a citizen card with a password, the withdrawal can be made at Caixa's self-service terminals and at lottery offices until Friday (30) - on that day, the branches will be closed.

In total, R $ 802 million is available, considering the average individual withdrawals amount of R $ 874.84. "In a scenario of difficulties and restrictions that people spend, this salary allowance could be a source of encouragement for many heads of families throughout the country," said the general coordinator of the Unemployment Insurance, Salary and Professional Identification of the Ministry of Labor, Márcio Borges.

Pending withdrawals

A survey by regions and states shows that, of the 1.2 million workers who did not make the withdrawal in the initial term, São Paulo has the highest number of looting still pending. There are 353,054 workers, out of a total of 395,188 entitled to the 2014 allowance, who are leaving the benefit behind. Only 42,134 (10.6%) of them withdrew the value, around a minimum wage. In Rio de Janeiro, of 102,401 people entitled to the benefit, only 18,931 (18%) have already sought the money. There are 83,470 withdrawals.

According to Márcio Borges, these figures reflect the behavior of the labor market, since 40% of the workers in Brazil are from the Southeast and South Regions. "The salary bonus is a right guaranteed to workers with a formal contract and formal employment relationship. Of the total salary bonus paid, 89% comes from private initiative and 11% from public activity. These data explain why the largest numbers come from these regions, "he explained.

Who has the right

The Salary Bonus 2014 is being paid to those who were enrolled in PIS / Pasep for at least five years and worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in that year, with an average monthly salary of up to two minimum salaries. You must also have your information correctly informed by the employer in the Annual Social Information Report (Rais).

To check if you have the right to benefit, the worker can access the portal of the Ministry of Labor. Simply enter CPF or PIS / Pasep number and date of birth to make the consultation. Another option is the Call Center Alô Trabalho, which serves the number 158 and also gives information about PIS / Pasep.
