Accounts and cards with maturity in the recess can be paid without fines on the first business day following the holiday

In the last week of the year, bank branches will only run until next Thursday (29) before the New Year recess. On Friday (30), they will be closed throughout the country and will only reopen on Monday (2), the first business day of 2017.

According to the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), accounts and cards with maturity on the date the agencies are closed may be paid on the first business day following the bank holiday without charging fines for delay.

The alternative to the day when there is no answer in the banks is to use ATMs,  internet banking , telephone banking and correspondent banking as lottery houses and post offices.

Salary allowance

Those who are entitled to take out the salary bonus of PIS / Pasep base year 2014 have until this Thursday (29) to go to an agency to withdraw the benefit. And the worker who has the Citizen Card with password can withdraw the payment in a terminal of self-service Caixa Economica or in lottery houses until the sixth (30).

According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, more than 900 thousand people who are entitled to receive the money have not yet made the withdrawal. The right to benefit can be found on  the Ministry of Labour website .

Fies

The deadline for contract renewal of the Student Financing Fund (FIES) ends next Friday (30). Contracts must be renewed each semester.

In addition, the deadline for submitting the Regularity Registration Documents (DRMs) issued on November 25 ends at Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal.
