Corn auction conducted by Conab raises R $ 15.7 million
The National Supply Company (Conab) sold, on Thursday (15), 79% of 50 000 tonnes of the product offered in twocorn auction sale operations . They sold 39,600 tons and revenue was R $ 15.7 million. The corn is stored in Mato Grosso and belongs to government public stocks.
In August, the Interministerial Council of Public Stocks (PFIC) authorized the sale of 500 tonnes of maize for poultry farmers and pigs through several auctions, to hold high the product and its impact on prices of chicken meat and pork on the domestic market.Another 500 tons had been sold by Conab between February and March this year, with the same goal.
