The number of people who sought credit in August increased 7.4% compared to July. The data are part of the indicator Serasa Experian Consumer Demand for Credit, released on Wednesday (14). Compared to August last year, the increase was 1.9%.
This indicator is important to show the intention of consumption of Brazilians.When there is increased demand for credit, this means that consumers are more willing to buy and more confident in the future, as the financing and loans are paid in time.
Compared to July, the highest demand occurred among Brazilians earning up to R $ 500 per month - an increase of 9.7%. For those earning between R $ 500 and R $ 1000, the increase was 9.0%. Among the Brazilians who receive between R $ 1,000 and R $ 2,000, the increase was 6.4%.
Serasa also said that the performance was also positive between the portion of the population with the highest income. For those who receive between R $ 2,000 and R $ 5,000 per month, the increase was 5.1%.
Credit by income
For consumers whose monthly income is between R $ 5,000 and R $ 10,000, the high demand for credit was 4.9%. Those with earnings above R $ 10 thousand, the increase was 6.5%.
By region, the best performance was in the South, up 10.9% between July and August. The list continues with the Northeast (8.2%), Southeast (6.6%), Central West (5.7%) and North (3.6%).
