With the signing of the International Health Certificate (ITC), products from regions free of foot-and-mouth disease will be marketed
After two years of negotiation, the country will start exporting milk and its products to Japan. The measure was only possible after the signing of the International Health Certificate (ITC). Now products from regions free of foot-and-mouth disease, even without vaccination, can be marketed in the external market.
Brazil is still launching in the dairy sector, so the establishment of partnerships is essential for the strengthening of the segment. "Japan is a very important customer because of the great potential of consumption and the degree of demand it has, demonstrating Brazil's ability to meet these requirements," said the Foreign Relations Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Odilson Ribeiro e Silva.
Globally, Japan is the seventh largest consumer of dairy products, representing a vast market for Brazilian products. Just last year, Japan imported $ 1.2 billion worth of these products.
