To facilitate agricultural bilateral trade, Brazil and Morocco will create an advisory committee. In addition to trade cooperation, countries could ally in research related to agricultural innovations.
The announcement was made by Minister Maggi, Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, on Wednesday (16) in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, which is the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP22).
The establishment of the bilateral agricultural advisory committee is the result of negotiations made parallel to COP22. "Let's see what the Moroccan products that can be sold to us and which we can export to them," said the minister. The Brazilian market is interested in selling meat, dairy, soy and corn to Morocco.
The Brazil, the minister added, can also establish cooperation with Morocco in the field of agricultural research and innovation. "We have a very strong research structure in Brazil. We have the world leader in tropical agriculture and many things that we can share with Morocco, "added Maggi.
