Among the areas that will be offered are the blocks located in the pre-salt area

On Wednesday (27), the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) will hold new rounds of oil bidding.

At this stage, the companies will compete for the right to explore and produce oil in 287 blocks contained in the 14th round of oil and natural gas concessions under concessions and pre-salt areas under a sharing regime.

In the case of the pre-salt areas, it will be the first bid after the change that releases Petrobras from being obliged to participate in the exploratory consortia. From now on, the state company will choose whether or not to participate in the contest.

In the sector's bidding calendar, which runs until 2019, there is an expectation of investments of US $ 80 billion, about US $  100 billion in oil royalties, 17 new production units and 2 million barrels of oil per day, while over the duration of the contracts.
