Second special secretary of Privatization and Disinvestment, value would be used to reduce public debt
The special Secretary of Privatization and Desinvestment of the Ministry of Economy, Salim Mattar, said on Friday (May 24) in São Paulo that the sale of all the assets of the Union could generate a revenue of close to R $ 1 trillion in four years.
This figure, according to the secretary, can be used for the reduction of the federal public debt, which today is $ 3.8 trillion. "We have to increase market competitiveness and reduce debt. We have to build the foundations of a new society, "he said in a lecture at the Annual Congress of ABVCAP.
Salim Mattar also stated that the privatization of the companies will bring to Brazil an environment conducive to business, more competitiveness and job creation.
"We are here to put Brazil back on track. We have to put this locomotive back on track, so we can move to the future. Put the country toward prosperity. Where the state does not use the citizen, but serves the citizen, "he said.
