The result came from exports of US $ 5.276 billion and imports of US $ 3.073 billion, according to the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC).
In the month, exports totaled US $ 13.844 billion and imports, US $ 9.279 billion, with a positive balance of US $ 4.566 billion. In the year, the trade balance is already positive at US $ 40.782 billion.
Export performance in the third week of the month was 23.2% higher than the average of the second week, in comparison to the foreign sales of manufactured goods, mainly ethanol, refined sugar, taps, an oil platform, valves; And commodities.
Regarding imports, the balance of the third week of this month points to a 1% drop, due to lower purchases of fuels and lubricants, fertilizers and fertilizers, plastics and works, mechanical equipment, cereals and grinding products.
