Regarding revenues managed by the Internal Revenue Service, the amount collected in May 2019 was R $ 110.75 billion, representing a real growth (IPCA) of 1.84%, while in the period accumulated from January to May 2019 , the collection reached R $ 609.91 billion, representing a real increase (IPCA) of 0.58%.
According to the head of the Center for Tax and Customs Studies, Claudemir Malachi, the result is in line with the projections of the Revenue. "Macroeconomic indicators help explain the performance of major taxes. The indicator of sales in commerce returned to present positive variation, which was reflected in the collection. Also contributing to the result of this month was the IRPJ and CSLL collection, whose collected values grew 5.77%, together with the IR on capital, which also showed a positive variation of 23.47%. "
