Natural gas production in Brazil reached a new record in July and amounted to 115 million cubic meters per day (m 3 / d), surpassing the last major mark of 111.8 MMm 3/ d registered in December 2016. The volume increased by 3.5% in relation to the previous month and by 7.3% in relation to July 2016. The data was released on Monday (4) by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels ( ANP).
Oil production totaled 2.263 million barrels per day (bbl / d), a decrease of 1.9% compared to the previous month and an increase of 1.5% in relation to the same month in 2016. The reduction in June is mainly due to the scheduled shutdown of the P-58 platform, which operates in the "Parque das Baleias" area (development areas of Jubarte, Blue Whale, Free Whale and Dwarf Whale).
The total production of oil and natural gas in the country was approximately 3.346 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe / d).
In relation to the pre-salt, production in July reached 1.61 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, a reduction of 4.3% compared to June. The complete newsletter is available on the website .
