On the second day of her trip to London, in the United Kingdom, President Dilma Rousseff dedicated herself today (26) to the promotion of Brazil as a tourist destination and to strengthen the Science without Borders Program. She is in London to attend the Olympic Games opening tomorrow (27). The president shall sign the Agreement between Brazil and the United Kingdom in order to include British universities in the program.

In the Brazilian Embassy in London, Dilma shall visit the exhibition on science and technology accompanied by scientist and doctor on cosmology Stephen Hawking. She also shall meet with Science Without Borders students. The government's intention is to send 100,000 professionals and researchers in four years to many countries. The government intends to provide 75,000 scholarships and expects the private sector to sponsor more than 25,000 through the program. The program includes scholarships for undergraduate, master's, doctoral and post-doctorates studies in 18 areas of technology, engineering, biomedicine and biodiversity.

In the late afternoon (London time), Dilma shall open the House of Brazil. At the venue, an exhibition on science and technology in the field of sports has been organized. The exhibition was set up to promote the 2016 Olympic Games, in Rio de Janeiro. Tomorrow will be dedicated to the opening of the Olympic Games, whose theme is Live is One. The president is in London until Saturday (28).
