The Supply Chain Company®, today announced that the JDA Innovation Day entitled: “Supply Chain Optimization in Brazil: How Regional Companies are Using Global Best Practices for Optimal Performance,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Hotel Caesar Business Faria Lima in São Paulo, Brazil. The event includes a full day of sessions – featuring JDA customers, executives, product experts and specialty partners – exploring how integrated supply chain planning and execution solutions can power high performance supply chains.
 
Focus on Integrated Supply Chain Planning and Execution

The increasingly empowered consumer is pressuring retailers and their suppliers like never before.

Manufacturers must forecast and fulfill with accuracy and agility. Logistics companies must ship from greater distances with improved speed and efficiency. Warehouse and distribution centers must manage inventory and throughput with great precision, and retailers must satisfy the demands of highly-informed and fickle customers. To accomplish all this, every facet of the supply chain must come together like a carefully conducted symphony, working in concert to surprise, delight and influence customers.

Co-hosting the event will be Alcis Prime, a long-time JDA alliance member and Brazil’s leading provider of implementation services for JDA’s supply chain execution solutions.

Leading practitioners and experts from around the world will participate in the JDA Innovation Day, exploring how integrated supply chain planning and execution solutions can power high-performance supply chains. They will discuss how to fulfill and transport products more efficiently, reduce response times and costs, increase sales and improve customer service.

In addition to the rich speaker content, the JDA Innovation Day will offer attendees the opportunity to network with peers and some of the industry’s best supply chain thinkers. Attendees will also be able to get an exclusive look at JDA’s latest innovations, including solutions for integrated business planning and execution, all-channel commerce, supply chain segmentation, cloud-based execution and much more.

Compelling Session Presentations:

The JDA Innovation Day will feature a variety of presenters discussing the challenges of supply chain optimization and how JDA is helping customers solve current problems while preparing them to address unknown future business environments with confidence and agility. The sessions and presenters include:

• Alejandro Jose Philips, vice president, international, JDA Software, will present ‘Welcome to Innovation Day,” where he willprovide an overview of JDA’s 15 year history serving customers in Brazil and Latin America.

• Fábio Moraes, TI manager, Casa & Video and Bruno Will, Project Manager, will discuss the business challenges that pushed his company to adopt new technology for demand planning, expected benefits and savings. They will also offer insights on why Brazilians should open their minds about importing technology solutions for retail operations.

• Roberto Baence, general manager, logistics, Dufry, willshare the Dufry experience using warehouse management solutions to increase the effectiveness of its distribution centers, improve labor productivity, and create efficiencies in monthly inventory and fill rates while minimizing waste.

• Luiz Antonio Rego,chief executive officer, Alcis Prime, will provide a local perspective on the future of supply chain execution using the latest software and hardware technologies.

Rego will also lead a question-and-answer panel discussion titled “Logistics Best Practices for an Optimized Supply Chain: A Local Perspective,” covering topics from planning and processes to implementing new technologies with the following leading logistics companies in the region:

• André Negro,supply chain director, BIC Brasil, will present “Challenges of integration successes of JDA APS as a Global solution at BIC,” discussing the business challenges, process, benefits, results of implementing JDA as a Global APS solution.

• Rafael Alvarez Ramos, logistics management, Ambev, will present “Transportation & Logistics Management: Keys to Success,” discussing why it needed to replace its legacy transportation system for JDA’s Transportation and Logistics solutions. The presentation will also share the operational benefits achieved with improved planning, controlled and precise workflows, and better fleet utilization.

• Razat Gaurav, senior vice president, International Sales, JDA Software, will present “The Corporate Vision and strategy of JDA+ Red Prairie,” discussing how the powerful combination of JDA and RedPrairie will benefit the rapid growth of Latin American retailers, manufacturers and wholesale distributors with the supply chain industry’s only complete supply chain management solution.
