Exports to be boosted by Paraguayan program to finance zero cars for the country's families
A vehicle financing program of the Paraguayan government should benefit the Brazilian auto industry. To supply the Paraguayan market, Brazil must export from 5 to 10 thousand cars of national manufacture.
The Paraguayan policy aims to offer the country's families new vehicles at prices below US $ 10,000, contributing to the renewal of the fleet with popular models . The cost of 20 thousand cars must be financed by the National Development Bank (BNF) of Paraguay.
Currently, 80,000 cars are sold per year in Paraguay, 60,000 of them imported from Japan, the United States and South Korea. The option to finance zero kilometer cars is that they are guaranteed by the automakers.
From January to October this year, the commercial flow in the automotive sector between Brazil and Paraguay reached US $ 535 million, which corresponds to a 63% increase. Exports increased 58.5% to US $ 370 million. Source: Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services
