Finland based firm Pöyry has acquired 60 per cent of the shares of Silviconsult Engenharia Ltda, a Brazilian forest-oriented consulting company. The company’s annual net sales are about €1.7 million. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed. The Brazilian firm has exhibited an impressive growth record, marked by improved revenue and range of businesses solutions it provides.

Established in 1989, Silviconsult provides solutions for forest businesses and socio-environmental management, and is a valuable addition to Pöyry’s service offering. Silviconsult employs about 23 experts having its headquarters in the city of Curitiba, State of Paraná in Brazil. Proyry expects the acquisition of Silviconsult to enable it increase its portfolio and range of offering in Brazil.
