Deadline to redeem amounts in branches ends in one week, and Cash informs that deadline will not be extended
Workers with a balance in inactive accounts the Service Time Guarantee Fund(FGTS) have until next Monday (31) to the withdrawal of money. According to the Federal Savings Bank, the term will not be extended.
According to the balance sheet, CEF paid more than R $ 42.8 billion to 25.3 million workers benefited by Law 13.446 / 2017 . The amount paid so far equals 98.33% of the total initially available for withdrawal (R $ 43.6 billion).
Workers who have resigned or have been dismissed for just cause before December 31, 2015 have the right to redeem the money. To make a withdrawal, you must have a work permit and identity document in hand.
Values up to R $ 1.5 thousand can be withdrawn only with the Citizen Card password in the self-service rooms, explains the vice-president of FGTS in Caixa, Deusdina Pereira. For amounts between R $ 1.5 thousand and R $ 3 thousand, the service can be done with the Citizen's Card and password. "The withdrawal of values above R $ 3 thousand can only be done in the agencies," he points out. To date, 25 million workers have already made withdrawals, which exceed R $ 42.3 billion.
According to a study released by the Ministry of Planning, the Brazilian managed to reduce delinquency and re-consume after two years of recession. The survey, based on data from the Central Bank, shows that there was a 23.4% reduction to 23.2% in household indebtedness after the start of the inactive accounts. In the same period, there was a 4.5% reduction in the use of overdraft in April, in addition to a drop of 15.7% to 5.7% in the use of credit cards.
