Welfare fraud combat in aid-seclusion in Bahia

In this Monday (10), the  Task Force of the Ministry of Social Security triggered an operation to dismantle a fraud scheme in granting benefits  for state prison. To get the benefit, criminals had  false certificates supposedly issued imprisonment in the Penitentiary Lemos de Brito, in Salvador (BA), and also falsified dependent birth certificates. 

The aid-seclusion is a benefit paid only to dependents of prisoners in closed or semi-open regime during the period of imprisonment or detention.

The investigations were initiated as action unfolding initiated in August 2013, which resulted in the arrest of two involved, one of which remains trapped.

According to the Strategic Research Advisory and Risk Management (APEGR) Social Security was already calculated a loss estimated to be at least R $ 1.4 million.

During the operation called "Paper III Grid", they were met four search and seizure warrants issued by the 2nd Court of Federal Justice Salvador.
