Citizens have until August 31 to send suggestions and comments on the topic.
The Secretariat of Evaluation, Planning, Energy and Lottery (Secap) of the Ministry of Economy launches this Tuesday (30/7) public consultation to collect suggestions from society regarding the regulation of the sports market called "fixed odds", lottery mode in which the player tries to predict the outcome of actual events.
In the fixed odds model it is defined at the time of betting how much the player can win in the event of a hit. The modality was created by Law No. 13,756 of December 12, 2018, in the form of an exclusive public service of the Union, whose commercial exploitation will take place throughout the national territory, in any commercial distribution channels, physical and virtual means.
Through the consultation, the Ministry of Economy intends to subsidize actions already underway to regulate Law No. 13,756 of December 12, 2018. The objective is to establish a regulatory model aligned with the best world practices, which provides a competitive environment for lottery industry.
The regulatory model should address issues essential to the future operation of the public service, with the adoption of modern security practices, integrity, accountability , corporate social responsibility, fraud prevention and money laundering.
Additional contributions, insights and suggestions may be sent between 07/30/2019 and 08/31/2019. To participate, the citizen must complete the questionnaire and send to the email .
Contributions received will be consolidated, answered by Secap and published on the official website of the Ministry of Economy.
