Data from the Getulio Vargas Foundation show that the General Market Price Index (IGP-M) accumulated a fall of 2.65% in 2017
Used to readjust the rental contracts, the General Price-Market Index (IGP-M) decreased 0.71% in the second preview of July. The data are from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and were released on Wednesday (19) .
The IGP-M accumulated falls of 2.65% in 2017 and 1.66% in 12 months. The deflation of the second July preview was driven by wholesale prices, as the Broad Producer Price Index fell by 1.14%.
The Consumer Price Index, which analyzes retail, indicated inflation of 0.04%. The National Construction Cost Index registered inflation of 0.13%.
The second IGP-M advance is calculated based on prices collected between the 21st of the previous month and the 10th of the reference month.
