Brasilia (DF) – Hotel businesses in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador have 60 days, until January 1, 2013, to complete adaptation to the new National System of Guest Registration (SNRHos), from the Ministry of Tourism. The online platform is available in the six host cities of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 which will be the first cities to begin transmission of the National Guest Registration (FNRH) through the new system which aims to modernize and streamline the analysis of tourism statistics across the country.
According to the implementation schedule for the new system, defined by the federal government, the next cities to begin the transition, in March, will be: Cuiabá, Curitiba, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre and São Paulo, all of which are venues for the 2014 World Cup. Other municipalities will begin to join the system as of July 1, 2013.
The statement of the daily movement of guests in Brazil is mandatory, according to the Tourism Law. To join the system, it is necessary that the means of accommodation is properly registered with the Ministry. With the measure, the Ministry of Tourism will begin to map the flow of guests throughout the country. Companies can choose the method of data transmission: online, when the update is made in real time, via the site www.hospedagem.turismo.gov.br; offline, via a computer program that registers and inserts the information; or via a company specific hotel management system, which should be integrated to the national system.
