President Jair Bolsonaro will open the event on October 10; edition will focus on infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, technology and innovation
The improvement in the business environment and investment opportunities in Brazil will be a highlight of the Brazil Investment Forum 2019 ( Brazil Investment Forum - BIF ), on October 10th and 11th, at the World Trade Center, in Sao Paulo. The event is organized by Apex-Brasil, the Ministry of Economy (ME) and the Ministry of Foreign Relations (MRE), in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The focus of this edition will be directed to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy, such as infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, technology and innovation. It is expected to gather around 1,500 participants, including executives from large companies, potential foreign investors, government representatives, financial institutions and investment promotion agencies, facilitating the relationship between the main agents of the investment scenario in Brazil.
Participants
The opening, on the 10th, will be made by President Jair Bolsonaro and IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno. Also confirmed are the presence of the ministers of economy, Paulo Guedes; Foreign Relations, Ernesto Araújo; of Justice, Sérgio Moro; of Mines and Energy, Bento Costa Leite; of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Tereza Cristina Dias; of Infrastructure, Tarcísio de Freitas; and Science and Technology, Marcos Pontes.
Two special panels are planned with ministers Paulo Guedes and Sérgio Moro. Discussions should bring together key global executives from major companies and institutions such as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Enel, Cargill, Mahindra, Bayer, UPS, Boeing, Blue, CCR Group, Mandaê, Softbank, IBM and JP Morgan, among others.
