Cooparioca beat the competition by offering service 10% cheaper than estimated
The Ministry of Economy concluded, on Friday (26/7), the electronic auction for hiring transportation service of servers, employees and employees of federal government agencies and entities in the city of Rio de Janeiro and its metropolitan region. The Taxi Work Cooperative Carioca Ltda (Cooparioca) was the winner with the price of $ 2.89 per kilometer driven, 10% lower than the estimated maximum of $ 3.21.
With the implementation of this type of system, which already serves the federal servers in the Federal District since 2017, the government should save 48% in expenses with transportation service of servers operating in the Rio de Janeiro region. The hiring is equivalent to 5.1 million kilometers that must be covered in a 12-month period, totaling R $ 14.73 million. Currently, the members of the Public Administration in RJ pay, on average, R $ 5.56 per kilometer driven. With TaxiGov, the expense will be $ 2.89.
51 federal institutions, including hospitals, regulatory agencies, federal institutes, universities, the Central Bank, the Securities Commission, the National Archives and others are expected to migrate to the new system. In the Federal District, the use of TaxiGov, instead of own and rented vehicles, reduced by more than 60% the expenses with transportation of servers. The next state to join the service will be Sao Paulo.
