The consortium's proposal is to focus on the integrated work to increase the turnover of the sector between the units of the Federation
The Consortium for South and Southeast Integration (Cosud), formed by seven states (Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo) signed a commitment to integrate public policies.
The objective is to boost the development of the two regions that represent 70% of the economy of the country and the tourism sector is among those that should gain even more breath.
"We want to increase tourist flow and revenue between the states of Cosud by making the schedule and special offers more flexible, minimizing the flow of visitors during the low seasons," said State Tourism Secretary Vinicius Lummertz. "This integrated planning will enable joint solutions to common challenges among the seven states," he added.
The Governor of São Paulo, João Doria, reiterated the importance of a cooperation action among the states. "There is integration, joint work, motivation and cooperation between all areas at the political, institutional and, above all, economic levels," he said.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 25, in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul.
