Ceará win programs for industry expansion

Initiatives intended to expand the goods receipt of the region in international trade

The industry of Ceará became part, on Friday (23), the National Plan of Export Culture (PNCE) and Brazil More Productive program, the  Ministry of Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).

The main goal of the initiatives is to improve the production processes of the companies, so that they can expand the goods receipt of the region in international trade. Ceará is the 19th state to receive the PNCE and eighth to be included in Brazil More Productive.

Considering the challenging time and the need for reinvention of some industrial policy instruments, the ministry directed efforts to design a rapid response program, low cost, to impact the productivity of the industry.

In this line, Brazil More Productive Program was born, designed to meet 3000 companies in all states by 2017, with the objective of increasing by at least 20% the productivity of companies attended. In Ceará, at least 120 enterprises will be met.

The region is strategic for foreign trade growth in Brazil, as hosts of the 19 export processing zones (EPZs) in the implementation process in the country.

Ceara has great export potential in various industrial production sectors such as apparel and accessories, food, non-metallic mineral products, metal products and furniture. Only these five sectors for more than 6,450 companies identified by the MDIC throughout the state.

"We have been working on integration of our companies in international trade, especially those that have never exported, to offer an alternative before the domestic recession, as well as expand our export base," explained the Minister of MDIC, Marcos Pereira.

The president of FIEC, Beto Studart, the actions developed in the National Exporter Culture Plan represents an important support to entrepreneurs. "The process of internationalization is not simple, because it requires knowledge of the language, habits of consumption and local economy in the export destination. The MDIC is an important pivot point for entrepreneurs, "he said.
