The Brazilian Government partners with a Swedish student exchange center for the Science Without Borders program

A cooperation agreement was signed on March 6 between the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/MCTI) and the Swedish-Brazilian Center for Research and Innovation (Cisb), aimed at promoting international exchange of students and researchers in the ambit of the Science Without Borders (CsF) program. The event was attended by the President of CNPq, Glaucius Oliva, the Director of Institutional Cooperation at CNPq, Manoel Barral Netto, the Executive Director of Cisb, Bruno Rondani, and the Director of the Swedish aeronautics company, SAAB AB, Hâkan Buske.

The program aims to stimulate scientific and technological exchange between Brazil and Sweden in the areas covered by the CsF program. It was agreed that CNPq will grant up to 100 bursaries for post-doctoral and doctoral sandwich studies and for senior intern training and overseas training.

In addition, Petrobras was authorized by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to invest R$ 320.9 million in granting 5,000 scholarships under the Science Without Borders program, these being 2,754 undergraduate and 2,246 post-graduate.
