After the release of the International Health Certificate, trade in fresh and processed products is authorized
South Africa opened the market for eggs in natura (net) and processed (frozen) of Brazil, informed the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, on Friday (8). According to the folder, with the release of the International Health Certificate (ITUC), trade was released. From now on, the sanitary authority of the country can issue import licenses for Brazilian products.
Brazilian exports reach South Africa in just 19 days, compared to the 31-day US product term. More than 50 countries already receive the eggs produced in Brazil, exports that moved US $ 110 million in 2016.
"The beginning of Brazilian exports of fresh eggs and processed eggs to South Africa reiterates the quality and sanity of the Brazilian product and contributes to the strengthening of the agricultural sector, expanding and diversifying exports," said the secretary of International Relations, Odilson Luiz Ribeiro e Silva.
Fertile eggs
In addition to the in natura products , the International Zoosanitary Certificate (CZI) model is being negotiated with South Africa for poultry genetic material (fertile eggs) in Brazil.
