Recuperation plan
As part of the recovery plan presented by the Government of Brazil, the institution renegotiates amounts that reach R $ 8.2 billion
The National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) reported last Friday (15) that it is finalizing a proposal to renegotiate the debt of 14 Brazilian states. In total, the amounts total R $ 8.2 billion, and the institution will extend the payments in 10 years.
In addition to providing better conditions for payments, the recovery plan requires counterparts of fiscal adjustment by the states that join the renegotiation.
This week, the BNDES signed a renegotiation agreement for the states of Piauí and Ceará, which should, respectively, be R $ 515.8 million and R $ 368.7 million. Next week, the debts of the states of Acre, Alagoas, Amapá, Bahia, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and São Paulo should be renegotiated.
After the agreements have been formalized, they must be ratified by the Attorney of the National Treasury.
