According to the MEC portal, public higher education institutions have until March 22 to submit proposals for extension activities. Through the University Extension Program (PROEXT), educational institutions will be able to apply for funding of up to R$ 50,000 per project and up to R$ 150,000 per program.

Federal, state and municipal public universities, federal education, science and technology institutions, and federal centers of technological education may submit proposals.

According to the announcement, in order to apply, proposals should be submitted that relate to current public policy and involve undergraduate students enrolled in the institutions. The student extension activities should mandatorily be linked to a specific course and be accompanied by at least one teacher.
